Red Fish Reef is the most prolific field in the GBC, and contains two production platforms (A1 doubles as a gas lift platform) directly west of Smith Point in Galveston Bay. Field Production comes onshore at The Hill metering station nine miles to the northwest of the A1 platform.
Tekoil has production handling agreements in place for gas, liquid, and water coming from the Red Fish Reef field.
The A1 Platform at Red Fish Reef is a pumping station for raw natural gas, crude oil, and water produced by wells nearest this platform in the field. Produced fluids are separated on the platform. Post-separation natural gas is compressed in one of two field-gas powered compressors, dries in a glycol dehydration unit, sent onshore to The Hill Metering Station, then via the ERG pipeline to the Aggie Junction Compressor Station before entering the sales line. Oil and water are sent to the Cedar Point Tank Battery via The Hill for separation; oil is temporarily stored (400-bbl tank) and trucked out for sales; water is disposed of in an SWD well at Cedar Point.
Other onsite equipment includes an oil and water tank (500 bbl), an inline heater, a natural gas fired generator to provide electricity for the platform, and a glycol dehydration reboiler.
